Describing himself as a Project Management Missionary, Metin Örnek has undertaken numerous national and international roles in the field of Project Management during 25 of his over 35 years of professional work life. Among the IT projects he has managed in the finance sector are Tübitak and European Union projects. He has served in various volunteer positions at PMI Turkey, including Presidency, and has also acted as a PMIEF Regional Mentor for Europe. He holds a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from ITU and an MBA from Özyeğin University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Engineering at Bahçeşehir University and is in the thesis stage. He is proficient in English and French.
