FOCUS : PEOPLE

Human Factors in Project Management

Our Summit Approach

Human plays a very important role in project management. Regardless of the kind of project or the sector, the team, the leader and the stakeholders together determine the destination of the project. Without a great team or a leader, a successful project can never take place and without determined and dedicated stakeholders, the right environment for the project cannot be provided.

Similarly, one of the biggest challenges in the timely completion of a project with a limited amount of budget and resources is to manage the development of the project team in the right direction. Working with a team of people with different backgrounds, experiences and expectations sometimes results in conflicting agendas, personal conflicts and unresolved issues. When it happens, the situation may delay the progress of the project or even suspend or halt the project. Thus, we cannot ignore the importance of the human factor in successful project management.

As the PMI Turkey Chapter, as part of our mission to contribute to the global project management knowledge pool, we organize Project Management Summits every year. This year, at the PMI Summit taking place in Ankara, Turkey, on the 23rd and 24th of May, we would like to put emphasis on the Human Factor in Project Management and bring the project professionals from around the world to discuss and share experiences on human-focused topics such as Talent Management, Teamwork, Motivation, Communication, Stakeholder Management, Coaching, Leadership, Delegation, Human Resources Management and so on.

We are certain that the speeches by the subject matter experts, the rich discussions in the panels, the informative and entertaining complementary activities will make this event an unforgettable experience for all of our 800+ attendees as we have every year.

We look forward to welcoming all project management professionals and academics at the PMI Summit in Ankara on May the 23rd-24th, 2017.
